چکیده

The study aimed to evaluate the beneficial effect of platelets rich plasma (PRP) on wound heal in rabbit.Eighteen healthy male adult rabbit were used they randomly divided into two equal groups (controlgroup 9, treated group 9). Under aseptic technique 3 cm skin incision was made back (dorsal) ofanimal by scalpel, after that sutured immediately silk suture materials 0.2 USP usedsimple interrupted receive post operation PRP (1ml) injected atthe site wound, while control left without treatment. Effects of heterologous platelet-rich plasma gel on standardized dermal wound healing in rabbits.

PURPOSE To evaluate the potential of heterologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gel for surgical skin wound healing in rabbits. METHODS Blood from a single healthy dog was used for PRP production, with calcium gluconate added to the PRP to form the gel. Two surgical excisions, one to the right and the other to the left of the dorsal midline, were made in six rabbits. One side was randomly alloca...

Platelet-Rich Plasma: Support for Its Use in Wound Healing

Previous topical growth factor studies have shown that recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor-BB isomer (rhPDGF-BB) is an efficacious treatment of chronic diabetic foot ulceration. A newer treatment, autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP), represents a greater similarity to the natural healing process as a composite of multiple growth factors, is safe due to its autologous nature, and ...
